Rules (winners calculation):

  • All entrants:
    • The official winners in all events will be those with the outright fastest times. All entrants will be officially classified based on their actual elapsed time.
      • Note: Fast runners starting much earlier than their ability to finish near 12:00pm are discouraged.
      • This is against the spirit of the event and could see fast runners arriving at aid station sites that have not been setup and are unattended.
      • Entrants may not be classified if they arrive at checkpoints prior to times stated on each event page.
  • 100km bicycle chase (Top Trooper):
    • The winner in this event will be drawn at the dinner at random from all entrants that achieved an “arrest” of their nominated runner.
      • Any entrant who does not make an arrest but finishes before 11:30am will also be entered into the draw (which basically means their runner ran significantly faster than their proposed time).
      • The exception is that any cyclist that arrives at a checkpoint too quickly (meaning they have been too fast on the course) will be disqualified and will not be eligible for the prize draw at all.
      • Troopers have to be in attendance at the presentation and dinner to receive an award (dinner ticket included in entry fee).
      • NOTE: Runners are NOT required to stop when they are caught.
  • 50km bicycle chase (Deputy Trooper):

    • The first 25km of the course is the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. Crew access through this section is only achievable at road crossing and intersections, and at the turn-around point at Everton.
    • Crews are asked to use minor road crossings in preference to major ones and to ensure that entrants and crew alike keep well off all road surfaces so far as practical.
    • Crews are expected to maintain awareness of other entrants around them and to report to event organisers any situations where they feel that entrants may be unreasonably suffering or require assistance.
    • Crews will be provided with contact phone numbers for event organisers – via the back of their “crew” bib, or via entrant information book if not registered as crew.
